Old Pal, a cannabis lifestyle brand, has partnered with culinary star and influencer Babish (Andrew Rea) to launch “Old Pal x Babish THC-Infused Sugar,” an innovative addition to the cannabis-infused food and beverage market.
The collaboration merges Old Pal’s cannabis expertise with Babish’s culinary creativity. The result is a versatile THC-infused sugar designed to elevate cannabis-infused cuisine. Rusty Wilenkin, co-founder and CEO of Old Pal, said he was excited about the partnership: “We are thrilled to partner with Babish to bring this exciting new product to market. With Babish’s culinary expertise, community, and our shared commitment to creating memorable experiences, we believe ‘Old Pal x Babish THC-Infused Sugar’ will redefine the possibilities of cannabis-infused baking and beverages.”
Innovation For Cannabis-Infused Baked Goods And Beyond
The THC-infused sugar is derived from high-quality cannabis extracts and carefully selected ingredients. It offers consumers a convenient way to incorporate weed into their favorite recipes. Whether for baking, edibles or beverages, this product promises a customizable experience. Each container includes 100 MG of THC, with about 5 MG of THC per teaspoon.
Known as Babish from “Binging with Babish,” Rea commented on the innovation. “Ten years ago, when I was making improvised edibles out of peanut butter and graham crackers, I couldn’t have imagined what the future would hold. With the help of Old Pal, we’re so excited to introduce the latest innovation in THCnology: a fast, precision-dosed, versatile, and fun way to create your own delicious edibles and cannabis cocktails.”

Culinary Expertise And A Business Mindset Make A Great Meal
Rea’s influence extends far beyond the kitchen. With over 10 million subscribers on his YouTube channel, Babish Culinary Universe, and more than 2 million social media followers, Rea’s reach is unprecedented in the culinary space. When he introduced cannabis to his content, he became the single most important creator in the cannabis space.
Babish played a key role in developing the product. “I knew I wanted to make a THC-infused sugar that didn’t add any flavor and could be used seamlessly in any recipe,” he said in a recent interview in Forbes. “It took quite a while to find a partner capable of doing that at the level Old Pal could. They not only met but exceeded my expectations.”
The result is a sugar that offers precise dosing and easy integration into various recipes. “It’s super accurate. If you use a set amount in your recipe and then divide that recipe into serving sizes, you know exactly how much you’re taking into your system,” Rea notes. “You can also just grab a tablespoon-full and put it in your coffee, and you know exactly how much you’re ingesting.”
Starting July 1, “Old Pal x Babish THC-Infused Sugar” became available at select dispensaries in New York and Arizona and will roll out later this year in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Colorado, and other states.
